You need to know what your theoretical intake is to maintain your current weight. Please use the calculators below to make an approximate estimate of your daily intake requirement. Please note the calculators are a generalization and you need to visit a registered dietitian or your medical practitioner in order for them to determine your individual needs. The calculators are a general guide only. Once you have your basic requirement, you can modify it on the following basis:- 1lb of fat is the approximate equivalent of 3500 calories and 1Kg of fat is the approximate equivalent of 7700 calories! Now you can work out how much more or less you need to eat to gain or lose weight! Please remember that this is a rough guide and you need to visit your doctor or registered dietitian.
